About Torey F.
Torey Cohen Foster is a devoted ministry leader, creative, and mentor whose passion is to strengthen others’ relationship with Christ through authentic conversation and intentional service. Currently serving as the Ministry Director for The Bridge, the young adult ministry of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Torey has dedicated his life to helping others find purpose, faith, and identity in Christ.
His ministry journey began within the very walls where he once sat as a student. In 2019, he started attending Unashamed Youth Ministry, and after returning to in-person gatherings following the pandemic, his involvement deepened. Through serving on the Youth Leadership Council (YLC), Torey discovered a growing love for media production and ministry work.
Known among his peers and leaders for his hard work, wisdom, and commitment, Torey’s presence in the ministry became more than participation — it became purpose. After graduating from youth ministry, he chose to continue serving as a leader, recognizing the same calling he once saw modeled in others. In 2024, after much prayer and confirmation from God, Torey accepted the call to serve as Ministry Director for The Bridge, where he continues to disciple young adults navigating life and faith, while also mentoring students within Unashamed Youth Ministry.
At the heart of Torey’s mission is the desire to provide comfort in conversation — not just in explicitly spiritual dialogue, but in genuine, human connection that ultimately leads people toward Christ. His goal is to help others grow in their faith through authentic relationships and intentional mentorship.
As part of his broader ministry work, Torey also serves on the Board of Directors for New Mindz Ministry, founded by Dr. Rev. Queen and Rev. Lenia Queen, where he helps guide initiatives that equip and empower believers to live out their God-given callings.
Torey’s creative journey runs parallel to his ministry calling. What began as recording and editing videos for Unashamed Youth Ministry evolved into Capture Your Narrative — a media company built on faith, purpose, and storytelling. Through this venture, Torey seeks to visually communicate the moments and testimonies that reveal God’s hand in people’s lives. The company’s name and mission are grounded in the belief that every story matters, and that through creativity, authenticity, and faith, those stories can inspire transformation.
In 2014, Torey gave his life to Christ — a moment that shaped every step of his journey since. His life and work are guided by the values he established for Capture Your Narrative, which also reflect his personal walk with God: Seek God (Proverbs 3:6), Trust God (Proverbs 3:5), Obey God (James 1:22), Reflect His Light (Matthew 5:16), Intentionality (Ephesians 5:15–17), Equipping Others (Proverbs 27:17), and Showing Christlike Character (Galatians 5:22–23).
Torey is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at Bowie State University. His academic focus complements his leadership and creative skills, equipping him to steward both ministry and business with excellence. Looking ahead, Torey aspires to become a licensed minister, author, and student of pastoral counseling, continuing his mission to uplift others through both spiritual and practical wisdom.
Beyond ministry, Torey expresses his creativity through multimedia production and music — including Christian rap that reflects his personal faith journey. Whether behind a camera, mentoring youth, or discipling young adults, Torey remains focused on one thing: using every gift he’s been given to point people back to Christ.
